How to Enable the Required Permissions on iOS

To use all features in the Vision InSites app, certain permissions must be enabled on your iPhone. If something isn’t working correctly, you may need to review and update these settings.

Check Permissions in the App

  1. Open the Vision InSites app.

  2. On the main screen, triple tap the VI logo at the top.

  3. A permissions screen will appear.

  4. Review the list at the bottom to see which permissions are enabled or disabled.

Update Permissions in iOS Settings

If any permissions are missing or turned off:

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Apps.

  3. Find and select Vision InSites.

From here, update the following:

  • Location: Set to Always

  • Camera: Make sure it is enabled

Important: Location Must Be Set to “Always”

For the app to function properly, Location access must be set to “Always.”

If it’s set to “While Using the App,” some features may not work as expected.

Why This Matters

Enabling these permissions ensures:

  • Accurate location tracking

  • Proper functionality of observations and reporting

  • Full access to all Vision InSites features

If you’re still experiencing issues after updating your permissions, try restarting the app or logging out and back in.
