How to Enable Required Permissions on Android

To access all features in the Vision InSites app, you’ll need to make sure a few key permissions are enabled on your device. If something isn’t working properly, you may need to review and update these settings.

Check Permissions in the App

  1. Open the Vision InSites app.

  2. On the main screen, tap the VI logo three times.

  3. A permissions screen will appear.

  4. Review which permissions are enabled or disabled.

Update Permissions in Android Settings

If any permissions are missing or turned off:

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Tap Apps.

  3. Select See all apps.

  4. Scroll down and tap Vision InSites.

  5. Tap Permissions.

From here, update the following:

  • Notifications: Allow

  • Camera: Allow

  • Location: Set to Allow all the time

Important: Location Must Be Set to “Allow all the time”

For Vision InSites to function correctly, Location access must be set to “Allow all the time.”

If it’s set to a more limited option, some features may not work as expected.

Why This Matters

Enabling these permissions ensures:

  • Accurate location tracking

  • Proper functionality of observations and reporting

  • Full access to all Vision InSites features

If you’re still experiencing issues after updating your permissions, try restarting the app or logging out and back in.
