Geofencing allows you to control where security officers can submit observations by setting a defined radius around a site. This ensures reports are only submitted when officers are physically within the designated property area.
What Is Geofencing?
Geofencing creates a virtual boundary around a site using GPS. When enabled, security officers must be within the defined area to submit observations. If they are outside the boundary, they will receive an error message.
How to Enable a Geofence
Step 1: Navigate to the Site
From the Activity Dashboard, select Sites in the header menu.
Choose the site you want to configure.
Click Edit.
Step 2: Enable Geofencing
Toggle Enable Geofence.
A map will appear showing the center of the geofence.
Step 3: Adjust the Geofence
Zoom in or out to confirm the correct location.
Adjust the radius (in meters):
Smaller radius = tighter control
Larger radius = more coverage
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Update Site.
The site will now display a geofence marker.
