Deactivating and Reactivating a Site

Learn how to deactivate and reactivate a site in Vision InSites, including removing a site from active use and restoring access for security teams.

You can deactivate a site to remove it from active use without permanently deleting it. Deactivated sites are no longer visible to security officers, but can be reactivated at any time.

How to Deactivate a Site

Step 1: Navigate to Sites

  1. From the Activity Dashboard, select Sites from the header menu.

  2. Choose the site you want to deactivate.

Step 2: Deactivate the Site

  1. Click Edit.

  2. Select Deactivate in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. Confirm the prompt by selecting Yes.

Once deactivated:

  • The site is removed from the active site list

  • The site is no longer visible to security officers in the mobile app

How to Reactivate a Site

Step 1: View Inactive Sites

  1. Navigate to the Sites tab.

  2. Select the Inactive filter.

Step 2: Reactivate the Site

  1. Locate the site you want to restore.

  2. Click Reactivate.

Once reactivated:

  • The site returns to the active site list

  • The site becomes visible again to both admins and security officers
