Navigating to the device management page

  1. Click on your name in the bottom left corner of the screen

  2. Select 'account settings'

  3. Click on the 'devices' tab

Find a device using its identifier

If you are unsure which device belongs to an officer, ask them to open the Vision InSites app and tap the Vision InSites logo three times.

A device identifier will appear on their screen. In the Devices page:

  1. Enter the first few characters of the identifier into the search bar.

  2. Press Enter.

  3. Select the matching device from the search results.

Rename a device

After locating the device, you can rename it to make it easier to find later.

For example, you might label it Thomas’ iPhone or use the assigned officer’s name and device type.

  1. Open the device.

  2. Update the device label.

  3. Save your changes.

Check when a device was last active

Each device displays a Last Seen time. This updates when the user opens and signs in to the app, even if they have not yet created a report.

This helps you confirm whether a device is currently being used or when it was last connected.

Search by the device label

Once a device has been renamed, you can search for it using that label. For example, searching Thomas will display the device labeled Thomas’ iPhone.

Clear labels make it faster to locate the right device when you need to review or deactivate it.
