1. Open Dispatch
Select Dispatch in the right sidebar, next to Alerts. The options shown depend on the features enabled for your account.
2. Create a dispatch
Select the + button, then enter the dispatch details:
Title: A short description, such as “Suspicious Person Reported.”
Site: The location where a response is needed.
Priority: Low, medium, or high.
Personnel: One or more security officers assigned to respond.
Details: Instructions and relevant information about the call.
Attachments: Images or videos that help officers understand the situation.
Review the information, then create the dispatch to send it to the assigned officers.
3. Track response progress
Open the dispatch to review its timeline and progress stages.
The timeline records activity such as when the dispatch was created, who assigned personnel, and when updates were made.
The progress stages include:
Assigned: The officer has been assigned to the dispatch.
Opened: The officer has opened the assignment.
Started: The officer has started the response.
Arrived: The officer has reached the site.
The Opened timestamp is recorded automatically when an officer opens the assignment. No separate acknowledgment is required.
4. View and start an assignment as an officer
Open My Dispatches in the security officer app.
Select the assigned dispatch.
Review the instructions and any attachments. You can expand images, pinch to zoom, and swipe through them.
Start the dispatch when you begin your response.
As you progress through the assignment, the dispatcher can track updates from the dispatch details.
5. Communicate through the dispatch feed
If the Feed feature is enabled for your account, officers and dispatchers can exchange messages within the dispatch.
Open the assignment in the officer app.
Select the chat bubble.
Enter and send your question or update.
For example, an officer might ask for the last known direction a reported person was heading. The dispatcher can respond within the same assignment, keeping the conversation connected to the call.
Note: The Feed feature must be enabled to use this messaging option.
6. Review active dispatches
Return to the Dispatch sidebar to view active assignments that have not been completed. Use the available filters to find the dispatch information you need.
