1. Open Feed
From the web dashboard:
Open Pulse.
Expand the right sidebar.
Select Feed.
The options shown in the sidebar depend on the features enabled for your account.
From the officer app:
Tap your profile picture or username.
Select Feed.
2. Post an update
Write your message in Feed and add the relevant tags:
Mention the company to address the entire team.
Mention an individual to direct their attention to the update.
Tag a site using # to link the update to that site and automatically add it to the site’s Timeline.
Who can see site-tagged posts?
When you tag a site, the post is only visible to users who have access to that site through their access groups. Users without access to the site will not see the post.
For example, you could tag a site and post: “Please check the lighting near the playground. Residents have reported that the lights are out.” Only users with access to that site would see the update.
Publish your update to share it in Feed. Team members who can see the post can comment or leave reactions.
3. Check who has viewed a post
Feed records read receipts automatically when a team member views a post in Feed. A separate acknowledgment is not required.
To see who has viewed a post:
On the web: Hover over the post’s read-receipt area.
In the app: Tap Seen by to view the list.
Read receipts help you track who has seen an update without asking everyone to reply.
4. View site updates in Timeline
When you tag a site using #, the post automatically appears in that site’s Timeline, which serves as its pass-down notes.
To find the update:
Select the site tag in the Feed post to open the site.
Open Timeline.
Find the update in the site’s history.
This keeps site-related communication available for future reference and shift handoffs. Access remains limited to users who have access to the site through their access groups.
5. Send a direct message
Use direct messages for private, one-to-one conversations.
From the web:
Select the person’s name or profile photo.
Open the messaging option.
Write and send your message.
From the officer app:
Open Feed.
Select Messages at the bottom of the screen.
Search for the person you want to contact.
Write and send your message.
Note: Mentioning someone in a Feed post does not make it a private message. Use direct messaging for a private conversation.
