This article explains the differences between clients and sites, and how to set them up.

Written by Brandon Hull

What are clients and sites?

  • Clients: A client would be the top of the hierarchical structure.

    • Clients can have multiple sites.

  • Sites: A site would be a specific location or building.

Creating a new client

  • Navigate to the Clients tab on the left side of the screen.

  • Click on New Client at the top-right of the screen.

  • Enter the name of the client

  • Select a theme setting.

    • This theme will be applied for all Insights Reports recipients associated with this client.

  • Click Create Client.

Creating a new site

  • Navigate to the Sites tab on the left side of the screen.

  • Click on New Site on the top-right of the screen.

  • Fill out the Site Information.

  • Enter the Location Details.

    • Address

    • City

    • State

    • Zip

This section is critical because our maps and visuals depend on accurate location details.

  • Client & Settings

    • Use the dropdown box to select the client this site is associated with.

  • Geofence Settings (more geofence information)

    • Enable to require guards to be within a specified range of the site when submitting observations.

To eliminate GPS discrepancies, we recommend selecting a larger radius.

  • Toggle Site Inactivity Notifications

    • This is where you can enable site inactivity notifications.

    • For more information on site inactivity notifications: see this guide.

  • Click Create Site.
